Neptune's Staircase on the Caledonian Canal is nearby and there are great places to eat out just along the canal-side. The train station is 150 metres away and there are good bus links too. Take a distillery tour, ride the Gondola to the restaurant on Nevis Range, enjoy a mouth-watering take-away fish supper at Sammy's.
