If you're touring the Highlands, the hostel is a great base for your holiday; you can take day
trips by car from here to the Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, Inverness, and the sands of Morar on the west coast.
The hostel is open all day and there's no curfew, so you are free to do as much or as little as
you like. Put your feet up in our comfortable TV lounge, or simply relax and de-stress.

Hostel facilities and local information
The hostel has 40 beds in in 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 bed rooms.
Our self-catering kitchen is well-equipped with fridges, freezer, microwaves, ovens, hobs, pots, pans,
crockery and cutlery. The dining room has ample seating and there's also a comfortable TV lounge and 'snug' to relax in.
Broadband internet access is also available.
We have a very efficient drying room and plenty of secure storage for bikes and canoes and ample car parking
space. A washing machine and dryer are available for customer use. All bedding is provided - there's no need to bring your
own - and towels can be hired at the hostel if required.
Local services
There are several small shops within a mile from the Hostel selling groceries, newspapers and souvenirs. Two
restaurants are within walking distance of the Hostel: the Lochy Bar and the Moorings Hotel.
Cycle hire is available nearby and there's swimming, rock-wall, ten pin bowling and Quad Biking all
available in the vicinity of Fort William.
